Danny is a seasoned Professional Engineer with extensive experience and offers his expertise in reviewing assorted equipment, machinery and manufacturing processes. He brings over a decade of unique and complimentary experiences ranging from plant floor practicality to detailed code compliance and health and safety consulting and engineering.

His “roll-up-the-sleeves” attitude has allowed him to shed the traditional engineering persona. The last eight years of his career has focused exclusively in health and safety consulting. During this tenure, he has honed his expertise in machinery / process safety and workplace accident investigations.

Danny brings a unique cross functional perspective to health and safety consulting not found with other practitoners in the industry, and draws his strengths from the following three areas of experience:

• Danny is a mechanical engineer. He spent the first half of his career in manufacturing; designing and building specialized machinery, precision molds, heavy duty cranes, etc. He knows how things work, and how things are made;
• Secondly, when Danny transitioned into consulting, he was trained exclusively to conduct Pre-Start Health and Safety Reviews, and became quickly known as a detailed and thorough industry practitioner;
• Finally, when Danny undertook his forensic career he coupled his manufacturing with health and safety experience and used them to effectively investigate industrial / construction accidents / fatalities.

By completing close to 1,000 Pre-Start Health and Safety Reviews / machinery safety assessments and process risk analyses of all types, magnitudes and complexities, he has attained a superior knowledge of applicable Canadian / National / International Codes, Standards, the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.

It is through his disciplined approach to health and safety engineering, open demeaner and practical solutions that have allowed him to develop close working relationships with some of the largest organizations in the world such as Westinghouse, ABB, GlaxoSmithKline, Honda, General Motors, Linamar, Samual Strapping, ROXUL, Hershey’s and Post Foods to name a few.

Danny’s thoroughness and objective stance when investigating accidents / fatalities afford him to be sought out as a leading expert by many large Canadian law firms, advising on subrogation and contributory negligence claims respective of Occupational Health and Safety related losses. These claims include product liability, personal injury and workplace fatalities. He has also been qualified as an expert witness and provided evidence regarding occupational health and safety accidents in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
